Foodhub
Senior Cloud and DevOps Architect · April 2020 to December 2021
Joined during COVID demand surge when ordering volumes spiked and platform reliability was under pressure. Scaled the food ordering platform to handle over 200,000 orders per day. Removed a testing bottleneck blocking 120 developers by designing Kubernetes-based per-pull-request environments with full-stack ephemeral test stacks.

Challenges
- COVID-driven demand surge with platform reliability under pressure
- Testing bottleneck blocking 120 developers
- Sustained adversarial pressure on production systems
- User-safety-impacting platform misuse triggering law enforcement requests
What I Delivered
- Designed Kubernetes-based pull request environments for 120 developers
- Enabled daily production releases through shift-left testing
- Led crisis response and production stabilisation during peak load events
- Implemented firewall, rate limiting, and traffic-pattern detection against sustained adversarial activity on production
- Prevented PII leaks through hardened access controls and data flow inspection
- Owned senior follow-through on law enforcement data requests; extracted evidence from platform logs supporting serious crime investigations involving platform misuse impacting user safety
Outcomes
- Platform scaled to 200,000+ orders/day with improved reliability under peak load
- 120-developer testing bottleneck removed through ephemeral PR environments
- Production stabilised during adversarial pressure with hardened security controls
